Larry & Lucy Weiss, members of the Falls City Mustang Club, were honored by having their beautiful 1968 GT500KR convertible featured in the January 2002 issue of Mustang Monthly.

Although the article was about the 428 Cobra Jet power, credit was given to Larry & Lucy owning the 68 Candy apple Red convertible. With only 318 convertibles produced, this was one of those shipped to the Rocky Mountain area.

When Shelby Automotive added the 428 CJ to the Mustang, the name "King of the Road" was used. The article says Chevy was planning on using the name, but, well, the rest is history.

Quoting from the article, "As you might imagine, this was the ultimate Mustang convertible in 1968. Its rich wood grain interior was based on the Mustang Interior Decor Group for 1968. We like those molded door panels with pull straps and courtesy lamps. A distinctive console sporting vital engine gauges is just bitchin', and it's unique to the Shelby Mustang."

Larry & Lucy, that is a Great car!!!
